Yes indeed. Every 15th snd 30th of the month, you should have a new podcast. Episode 3 features interviews with comic strip creator Porter Mason and UCB founder and comedy mentor Matt Walsh. Hard n' Phirm sing of modivation, while I talk about video game obsession.

You're hungry. You haven't eaten in a while.

Before you are two cooks. Both are excellent, and either of them could prepare an wonderful meal. But, surprise surprise, they're going to make a meal for you together! Amazing! You're going to have a meal fit for a king!

They begin, and the anticipation mounts. You're starting to get very hungry. You can't wait! But they don't feed you. They don't finish preparing the meal. They had no intention of making the meal at all. It was all about the anticipation.

So you're left to feed yourself, knowing full well these cooks were never going to cook a meal. And guess what, the cooks are going to offer this great meal again. And you're going to be hungry again.

You don't hate these cooks or their game, but you know you need to start looking for someone to make a meal with you.

Changes to this site will start happening in the next week as I prepare to launch... my podcast! Get ready folks, the Hanging Out with Pat Baer podcast is on the way! I'm hoping to have 2 up in September. And yes, I'm keeping the 'g' at the end of 'hanging'. Because I like to be different.

I have another announcement to make: I don't know when a girl is interested in me. I never know. I don't pick up signals. Sure, I can figure out when I'm having a good time with a girl, but I can never fully grasp if there's anything more there on her end. So, ladies of the internet, if we're vibing and you're wondering why I'm not making a move, it's because I have no idea I should. I'm asking you to be the agressive one. I know that's alot to ask, and I'm sorry.

Everyday's MC Christmas

Tomorrow is your last chance to see mc chris at UCB. You should go. Hopefully he'll be doing some songs from the new album he hasn't done yet. Have I mentioned how fucking awesome Dungeon Master of Ceremonies is? Well, it's fucking awesome! wiiD, Party Without Me, FTW, and oh mc are my current favs. You can listen to some of them on mc's myspace page.

My buddy Nick came into the city on Tuesday. We ate pizza at John's in Times Square, went to Midtown Comics, and then wandered over to Rockerfeller Plaza and went to Nintendo World!!! I bought a kickass Legend of Zelda tshirt!

You'll notice my now-almost-a-month-old haircut. Here's a close up of my shirt:

Sunday Sunday

Still cooking my own dinner most nights. I dunno if I've lost any weight, but I feel like I have more energy. That could be all in my head, though. I do know that I haven't had even a passing interest in McDonalds in the past two weeks.

I got inspired on Friday and wrote a character monologue. I put it up at Liquid Courage and got a decent response. It's enough to get me to keep working. I have another monologue idea floating in my head that I think I'll try to write out for the next LC in two weeks.

Here's a question: would you listen to a podcast called "Hanging Out With Pat Baer"?

Two days late

Busy weekend. Busy life, really.

I'm still waiting on the audio mixer I ordered, so no podcast news at the moment.

I've started cooking at home and reheating at the theatre. This is a big deal for me. This is really the first step in eating better and hopefully losing some weight.

A decision to be more aggressive in one aspect in my life has lead.... nowhere. So yeah.

Get mc chris's new album when it comes out. It's fucking awesome.

Pretty much every day, I have an internet routine. Here it is!

2. Aol mail (a few people still won't switch to emailing me at google)
3. UCB Theatre (gotta make sure I know what the shows are for the evening)

Sunday Posting! Hoorah! Here's the list I posted a couple weeks ago:

1. Lose weight.... at least 60 pounds.
2. Ask out the girl I like. Soon.
3. Get a haircut.
4. Create that podcast I've been talking about.
5. Update this blog EVERY Sunday.
6. Finish writing a show... any show.

UPDATE:

1. Started cuting (some) soda out of my diet. Had a SmartFood dinner last night instead of bullshit.
2. Found of the girl I wanted to ask out is in a situation I want no part of. Good to know so early in the game.
3. Done! Pictures coming soon. I've only heard positive comments.
4. Bought a USB audio mixer that should make the podcasting easier. Still need a name for the show.
5. I should change this to Sunday/Monday.
6. I think I know what I want to work on. Now to work on it!

That's it... nothing special to comment on.

The 8th Annual Del Close Marathon was amazing! I can barely think straight, but I'll try to list every amazing show I saw. Most of them were Friday night since I was teching and awake.

Delta Force 2 (Fuck you LA, we get Riggle back!)
The Stepfathers (best show I've ever seen them do)
BASSPROV on Friday (featuring Walsh and Horatio)
Lazy Man (especially because Katie was next to me in the booth)
Director's Commentary Live (ummm... Mo was teching that show, yet the panel kept asking me to fast forward)
The UCB show (contests, Ian's boring stories, Besser as a nazi, the cooler scooter)
Wicked Fuckin' Queeyah (So cool to see Anthony join the ranks!)
Scheer-McBrayer on Sunday (Michael Clark Duncan!!)
MySpace (closest Respecto reunion show you'll ever see)
Walsh and Roberts featuring Nailed Down (I loved Gethard as the intern people kept hugging, and Owen not knowing when to get people to clap)

Now, I'll talk about some of my favorite back stage moments. First, there was the cooler-scooter. I loved driving that thing around and posing for photos. Then there was the time I tried to get Paula to move over and said the "rapey" phrase "Let's make this happen". Wicked Fuckin Queeyah told me one of their rules was "No Pat Baer". I chatted with a girl for like 2 hours before I realized she wasn't an Out-of-Towner, but from Brooklyn. I danced at the after party for like an hour, which is insane because I could barely move beforehand.

It's Monday... crap

So much for updating every Sunday. Oh well, only a few hours late. Today was a good, relaxing day. I spent most of it playing "classic halo" at Terry's apartment. I love Brooklyn Heights. Someday, I'll have to cash to live there. I took off after a few hours and had some dinner (Burger King, for no good reason). I caught a little bit of the 7:30 ASSSSCAT with Besser, nice to see him back in town.

Gift of the Wild, my Project team, had our first real show. I really like this team. You should check us out August 6th.... and rank us #1!

I'm not going to post anything else. I need some sleep, since the DCM is next weekend and I've got a TON to do. I'll hopefully be posting live from the marathon.

Holy balls, it's been a while. I turned 26.... well, I guess that's really all that's happened. I've been living in NYC for almost 5 years now. That reality hit me recently. Looking at what I've done so far and what I still want to do, I really feel like I need to step up.

I've been watching reruns of Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel. Its a series about men who make their livings catching lobsters and crabs in Alaska... on tiny fucking boats. Its insane, and honestly makes me want to be more of a man.

There's a friend of mine out there who also makes me want to be more of a man. Oddly enough, it's a woman. Please help my friend Kate raise more money, and run for her Mom. You could also go run with her.

So, you may be wondering, how am I (Pat Baer) going to become more of a man? How am I going to better myself?

I will attempt to accomplish the follow goals:

1. Lose weight.... at least 60 pounds.
2. Ask out the girl I like. Soon.
3. Get a haircut.
4. Create that podcast I've been talking about.
5. Update this blog EVERY Sunday.
6. Finish writing a show... any show.

With the exception of #1, all these goals should be easily accoplished... right?

We'll see next Sunday.

Jackie's website is in my links section. I should add one of the above links as well. Oh yeah, you can search iTunes music store for "jake and jackie" and download tiny clips of their radio show. You can also listen to them live on 92.3fm, which I'm doing while I post this, because I don't own a radio. I own an ipod.
